Giving Back to the Children in Our Community

Founded in 1967, Jacksonville Children’s Foundation has donated over one million dollars to the Jacksonville, Illinois community and surrounding area of Morgan County. Grants are awarded to Jacksonville area organizations based on charitable and educational purposes.

Grant Process

Grants are awarded to Jacksonville area organizations based on charitable and educational purposes. Since 1967, Jacksonville Children’s Foundation has given over one million dollars to projects ranging from classroom technology to playground equipment.

*Request for interpreter services or special accommodations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance of the meeting by emailing jvillechildrensfoundation@gmail.com.

Annual Meeting is typically held on the 3rd Monday in October (Please refer to calendar of events page for official posting). Grant requests due 10 days through online application only prior to the Annual Meeting. Review of organization’s non-for-profit status may be requested by JCF Board

October Annual Meeting – receive thank-you’s from last year’s grant recipients and hear this year’s verbal requests.

November/December – JCF Board meets to discuss grant requests.

January – Disburse checks to new grant recipients and take grant recipients photos.

July 1st – All receipts for approved grant expenditures and photos (if applicable) due to Jacksonville Children’s Foundation Board. *Failure to adhere to this step may impact the entities future funding requests.
